In every other aspect of my life, the more words the better.

That seems to hold true in my writing, in my communication, and in my conversation with family and friends.

But here, I have established a daily practice of brevity as exemplified by the art of haiku.

In many ways, it’s my diary in seventeen syllables - no more, no less.

In all things moderation. In this case, language most of all.

Gimble’s other blog is embarrassingly wordy, but that’s to be expected as the author is a content provider for one of the top 15 most-visited sites on the internet. Since that is a paid gig and this is not, Gimble reserves the right to post as many or as few haikus as time, inclination, and talent allow. Thus readers must not take the title ‘a haiku a day’ too literally. Gimble’s typical output is 3-7 haikus per day every third day. Less when Gimble is cranky. More when Gimble struggles with sleeplessness, which is a great deal of the time. Your patience and your support are appreciated.

As a real person, Gimble welcomes feedback and can be reached here.
